Institut de physique du globe de Paris (IPGP)
IPGP is one of the leading research institutes globally in the field of Earth Science. IPGP conducts research across all areas of solid Earth studies, including Geophysics, Geochemistry, and Quantitative Geology. It integrates terrestrial and space observation with laboratory analysis and measurements, alongside the development of conceptual, analogical, and digital models.
In the MedInCircle project, IPGP focuses on monitoring potentially toxic metals, trace elements, technological critical elements (TCE), pesticides, and other emerging organic pollutants across different matrices. The goal is to develop advanced analytical protocols to determine the speciation and total concentration of various elements.

Institut de Chimie des Milieux et des Matériaux de Poitiers (IC2MP)
The Institut de Chimie des Milieux et des Matériaux de Poitiers (IC2MP) is a multidisciplinary joint research unit specializing in chemistry and geosciences. Established in 2012, IC2MP has around 260 staff members, including 100 researchers and approximately 90 PhD students. The institute’s research focuses on sustainable chemistry, involving:
- The synthesis of molecules and materials through energy- and atom-efficient processes,
- The development of water and air treatment processes, and
- The study of interactions between emerging compounds and natural environments (reactivity, transfer, bioaccumulation, persistence).
IC2MP has also gained strong expertise in characterizing and monitoring various organic contaminants in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. This expertise supports the goals of the MedInCircle project.
